Would you like to be able to assist if not rescue yourself or a diver in trouble?
Could you recognize problems early and prevent them? Then the PADI Rescue Diver course is for you! It is both challenging and rewarding, maybe your best course yet.
Who is the PADI Rescue course for?
You must be 12 years old or older, be at least a PADI Adventure diver with the underwater navigation dive, have completed your EFR Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) training within 24 months.
For all courses you will need to fill a medical form, download it here. If your answer to any of these questions is "Yes", you will need to be cleared by a doctor for diving.
PADI Rescue Course description
In this course you will learn, amongst other things:
- to self-rescue and react in a personal emergency,
- to recognize and deal with stress in other divers (accident prevention),
- emergency management and equipment
- to deal with panicked divers
- to rescue an unresponsive diver
You will cover more theory on pressure related illnesses and injuries and about diving physiology and physics. You can do all the theory ahead of your course.
The course is flexible and is all about mastery learning. It is a demanding but very rewarding course and we promise you will laugh a lot along the way!
