Diving Nusa Penida
We offer dive trips in Nusa Penida every day so you can experience the best of diving in Nusa Penida. The sites we visit depend on the conditions such as swell, wind and tides, however, we try to accommodate requests as much as possible! We maintain a ratio of a maximum of 4 divers to one PADI professional as well as grouping divers by certification and experience level, in order to ensure both fun and safety during your dives in Nusa Penida.
This is for certified divers only. If you are not certified or have never tried scuba diving before, then check out our Discover Scuba program.
Fun Dive Schedule
Divers meet at the dive centre around 7.30-8am, a message will be sent the day before to confirm. Upon arrival, you are offered tea or coffee while you put on your wetsuit. We then drive you 5 mins down the road to our boat, where your equipment will already be onboard and set up ready for you. The dive sites are decided according to the best conditions on the day and the boat ride will take between 10 and 45 min depending on the chosen dive site.
The two dives will be separated by a 1hr surface interval on the boat, where you can enjoy a hot coffee or tea and biscuits. After the second dive, we return to the dive centre, usually by 12.30-1pm. You can then rinse off in our showers, have a swim in the pool and enjoy lunch with your guide.
For the three dive package, lunch will be brought to the boat after the second dive and we usually return to the dive centre after the dive around 3pm.

Popular dive sites around Nusa Penida
Dive sites in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan
Diving in Nusa Penida is wonderfully varied and the reefs around the island are in excellent condition! The dive sites in Nusa Penida offer different experiences, from drift dives to pelagic and from walls to slopes!
Manta rays can be seen all year round and we dive with them often, conditions and swell permitting. This is one of the highlights of diving in Nusa Penida!
To see the elusive Mola-mola, the best period is usually between June and October as the water gets colder. This is also our peak diving season here in Nusa Penida.
Please keep in mind that during these months, the water can get as cool as 18 to 23 degrees Celsius; if you are diving with your own equipment we recommend using a 5mm wetsuit and maybe a hood and rashguard if you are sensitive to the cold! We provide 5mm long wetsuits with our rental equipment, so you are comfortable during your dives!
Feel free to check our Frequently Asked Questions page for more info!
All our dive sites lie within the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area (MPA). The MPA covers a 200km2 costal area, which surrounds the waters of all three islands; Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
These waters have been identified as being a critical zone for marine biodiversity. The MPA was established to protect the marine ecosystems while allowing for the development of the islands’ economy. There is a 20 year management plan in place and responsibilities include annual surveys, regular community meetings, promoting sustainable tourism and committing to the code of conduct.
In order to keep our Nusa Penida dive sites as pristine as you found them, we have a strict no touching policy. Bins are available on the dive boats and we ask you to dispose properly of any trash.
