Terms and conditions
General
We require proof of diver certification for all certified divers, this can be uploaded on the booking link or sent via WhatsApp or email.
Dive sites will be decided according to the sea conditions at the time. Diving exposed dive sites such as Manta Point, Manta Bay and Crystal Bay are not always possible to dive and conditions can change rapidly. Purple Dive reserve the right to change the dive site at the last minute for safety reasons. Refunds will not be given in the event a dive site in inaccessible.
Divers are limited to the depth of their certification. If divers wish to dive in a group of multiple certification levels, maximum depth will be to the limit of the least certified diver.
Dives are limited to 1 hour total dive time. Decompression diving is strictly prohibited.
We expect all our divers sign and abide by the PADI Standard Safe Diving Practices. We reserve the right to exclude you from our diving activities if your behaviour could be a danger to yourself, our staff, others divers or marine life.
Both our boats are equipped with emergency oxygen, first aid kit, marine radio and life jackets and all our staff are First Aid trained.
We recommend leaving 24 hours before flying or going to altitude.
Deposit policy
All bookings require a 50% deposit payment, without a paid deposit we cannot guarantee your booking.
Your deposit payment implies that you agree to our conditions.
Pricing and payments
All prices are charged in IDR. Payment is made via secure online card link, which includes a 2% transaction fee. This payment will automatically be in your card currency at the current exchange rate as implemented by our bank partner.
Final payment must be completed in full on the first day, prior the start of the activity.
On site, we accept cash in IDR, EUR or USD. For USD and EUR, we will only accept large bills, no coins. We cannot accept bills that are marked or damaged.
For group bookings, payment cannot be credited to others in the event one or more person is unable to dive.
We reserve the right to update our prices at any time. In the event of a significant increase in fuel prices (10% or more), Purple Dive Penida reserves the right to apply a fuel supplement to cover the additional costs. We will notify you of any such supplement as soon as possible, and no later than 7 days before your activity. The supplement will be proportional to the increase in fuel costs and will be kept to a minimum. Should the fuel supplement be unacceptable to you, you will have the option to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of your deposit, minus bank fees.
Nusa Penida MPA is governed by an independent party. If a fee is implemented, payment must be made prior to diving.
Cancellation policy
For fun dives:
-Cancellation more than 30 days in advance of your activity: full refund of the deposit will be given (minus bank or credit card fees) or you can reschedule the booking according to availability within 12 months.
-Cancellation between 14 and 29 days of your activity: 50% of the deposit payment will be given (minus bank or credit card fees), or you can reschedule according to availability within 12 months.
-Cancellation within 14 days of your activity: deposit is non-refundable. You may reschedule your booking according to our availability within 12 months. (please note that from June to October, the next slot available might be a few days later).
No refunds will be given for missed or skipped dives, including but not limited to inability to equalise or motion sickness.
Discover Scuba Diving & PADI courses
Your PADI E-learning material is issued to you on payment of the 50% deposit. Once issued, it is yours to keep and can be used at any PADI dive center, but it cannot be refunded.Therefore if you cancel your course, no full refund will be issued but the material is yours to keep.

Professional level courses
Deposit amount is 50% of course cost + full payment of the PADI materials. Once your material has been issued, your deposit cannot be refunded. Your IDC or Divemaster course can be rescheduled within 12 months, depending on our availability.
Insurance
Open Water Course and Discover Scuba Dive participants are provided with complementary DAN diver insurance for the duration of the course.
Certified divers are not required to have dive insurance, however we strongly recommend you have coverage. (Purple Dive has liability insurance. However, we do not carry individual insurance for divers, meaning that if a dive accident would occur during your diving activities, our insurance would not cover you). We offer DAN Asia Pacific short-term insurance, which can be purchased via the office, on booking or you can enrol directly on their website.
We strongly recommend having adequate travel insurance that covers the cost of unforeseen events and cancellation possibilities. Any force majeure event such as earthquake, flood, war or similar that prevents you from completing your booking will not result in a refund.
Privacy policy
This is absolutely non-diving related but we have to do it!
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; e-mail address; computer and connection information. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information that you provide through our contact forms (including name, email, location).
When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
1. To provide and operate the Services;
2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;
5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
We may contact you to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.
